 . AJ #3 . . AJ #3 . . AJ #3 .
  • Black Labrador Retriever
  • Up-to-date with routine shots
  • Spayed/Neutered
AJ #3 has had a rough first year of his life. He was dumped on a back road in a rural town. Some volunteers were running other dogs to the vet when he started following their car. Of course no one claimed him. When he went in for vetting the poor guy had been shot with a pellet gun. He does good playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He also loves going on walks. Rides make him a little nervous because he is scared he is going to be dumped again, but the more he gets to come back the more relaxed he becomes. AJ is house-trained and crate-trained. AJ really loves people, chewies (like antlers), and food. Food is his second favorite thing to people. When he first arrived he scarfed it down but now he savors it. AJ will need a family willing to work with him as he does require a strong pack leader, someone that is going to help AJ to be just a dog. When you call AJ's name he gets so excited instead of wagging his tail, his whole body wiggles. He will even grin sometimes. You can see on his face he just can't believe someone is calling him for something good. AJ is ready for a home to give him all of the cuddles and snuggles he deserved when he was a baby. Ask us all about AJ!For additional information about AJ #3 please email Shana LaPointe at shana2576@gmail.com.IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We receive many questions about our adoption process from potential adopters, most of which can be answered by viewing our "Adopt a Lab" page on our full service website, http://labs4rescue.dog/. Leia, and her brother Luke (also posted) were rescued from a hoarding situation and are now looking for a forever home that will give the love and attention they need. Leia can be timid at first and it may take her a little while to warm up in her new home but with a little patience, Leia will show what an amazing and affectionate girl she is. Leia is great with her canine foster siblings and we feel that a home with another dog would be beneficial to Leia and would help her to acclimate quicker. She is completely housebroken and crate trained and has been working on leash walking and basic commands. Leia is a Velcro girl that loves to be close to her people. She particularly enjoys sitting on the sofa with her foster family while watching TV and sleeping with her foster Mom at night. Leia is a loving, kind and social girl that needs time to become accustomed to new people and a new home. Meet Lil Luke #31! Luke is an approximately 2-3 year old, petite 30 lb, male, chocolate lab mix. Luke is fully grown so the perfect size for an apartment, smaller home or family looking for a pocket sized Lab! Luke is a gentleman, a warrior and a work in progress all rolled in to one hidden gem of a package. This poor guy was rescued out of an abusive hoarding situation which left some emotional scarring that needs to be patiently and gently addressed. He is making great strides and is doing much better since being with his foster family. He enjoys romps in the yard with his foster fur sisters and loves to end the day cuddled with foster mom on the couch doing some Netflixing. Kisses are rare but they are coming more often, as he still is playing hard to get. Physically he is healthy and eats well. Luke is learning to walk with his leash but starts out a little nervous. He is housebroken and learning commands. He loves his toys and chewy bones. I believe Luke would thrive best with no small human children. He would adore a family with other young dogs.
