Leo is seeking a quiet home and stable environment. He is an eight-year-old Pomino (Miniature Alaskan Eskimo-Pomeranian mix) who weighs about 18 pounds. Leo is shy with strangers but warms with patience and has demonstrated explementary bonding skills! He is very attentive to “his people” and will follow about with constant watch and eagerness for affection. Leo is currently in a foster home with several dogs. He gets along with all his canine companions but does not display a lot of interest in playing with the others. He enjoys squeaky toys and will engage in fun puppy play with “his people”. He even plays patty cake! Leo gets along well with cats. Leo has led a quiet life and can be initially stressed in new environments. He is not a fan of car rides but loves to go walking and exploring in low stimuli surroundings. He enjoys being brushed and groomed. His perfect home would be a moderate energy all adult home. Due to his needs, a quiet neighborhood setting would be optimal. This boy is looking for his perfect match to love! For more information, please fill out an adoption request form at www.arnne.org. Email or call the shelter at 603-233-4801 and a volunteer will return your call. ARNNE supports the rescue/critical care/boarding expenses of local town/city animal control officers that otherwise only have authorization to vaccinate or euthanize. Every life is precious but it takes funds to save lives. Adoption fees rarely cover the expenses of rescuing, boarding and providing exemplary medical care to the animals in our program. All animals have had a thorough exam, are treated for any parasites or infections, spay/neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped. See our adoptable pets at our Pet Adoption Day. Pumpkin is a 1 year old, 50 pound Hound mix who was found as a stray in Pasadena, TX. She needs to put on some weight and might be a 60-70 pound dog once she's filled out. Pumpkin is spayed, microchipped, current on all her vaccines, heartworm negative, housebroken and crate trained. Pumpkin is a very social, goofy, loving girl. She enjoys the company of other dogs and people of all ages. She has done very well with dogs of all sizes at dog parks. We recently tested Pumpkin with a cat and she did well. Pumpkin is a very active, athletic girl and loves to run and play. She would really thrive in a home with fenced yard or with a family who enjoys, jogging, running or hiking. Pumpkin loves to give hugs and kisses and moves about quickly and doesn't always realize her size. For that reason, a home with children 10 years old and up would be best as she could easily knock over smaller children. Pumpkin needs some basic obedience training to help her learn how to walk calmly on leash and to not steal unattended food off of counters. Those things can be easily worked on with some patience and basic training. To apply to adopt Pumpkin, please fill out an application at: https://arnne.org/adopt/adoption-form/ For questions, please email: adoption@arnne.org or call the rescue at 603-233-4801 and a volunteer will return your call.
